Program Manager, USACE Resilience Initiative
Originally from the West Coast, Sheri earned her bachelors in Chemical Engineering from the University of Washington in Seattle. Ms. Moore began her engineering career with the Seattle District Corps of Engineers as a Department of Army Intern and then as a project engineer in the Engineering and Environment al Technology Section, specializing in the remediation of contaminated groundwater.
In 2008, Ms. Moore was selected for a detail in the executive office of the Army Corps, working as a special assistant to the Commanding General, and in 2010, she was hired as the first Civilian Deputy Executive Officer to the Commanding General where she served two Chiefs of Engineers for five years. Also during her tenure as an XO, Ms. Moore went on special assignments to the Corps’ Hurricane Sandy Recovery Office New York in 2013 and conducted other special assignments in Engineering and Construction at HQUSACE.
In February 2015, Ms. Moore helped to establish the USACE Resilience Initiative as its program manager under the direction of the Chief of Engineering and Construction, the lead for USACE’s Resilience Initiative.
