Manager, Americas Emergency Management – Shell Exploration and Production Company
After earning a degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Arkansas, Phil joined Shell Offshore Inc. in 1983. Since that time he has primarily worked in Shell’s Exploration and Production businesses in the Gulf of Mexico and the Onshore U.S. involving various engineering, field and supervisory assignments; with the past 17 years focused on emergency response and regulatory/government affairs.
In his current role, Phil has overall accountability for Emergency Preparedness and Response, Business Continuity, and Crisis Coordination for Shell in North and South America. Included in his charge is the assurance of emergency response capabilities for new exploration ventures, and also serves on the leadership team for Shell’s global network for oil spill and emergency response.
