Government Affairs Advisor, Adams and Reese
Kenneth A. “Kenny” Bingham is a Government Affairs Advisor at Adams and Reese. Prior to joining the firm, he represented South Carolina’s District 89 in the State House of Representatives for 16 years. During his time in the House, Kenny served as Majority Leader; Chairman of the House Insurance Subcommittee; Chairman of the House Ethics Committee; Chairman of the K-12 Public Education Budget Subcommittee; and was a member of the House Ways and Means Committee. Prior to being elected to the House in 2000, Kenny was a member and Chairman of the Lexington School District Two Board of Trustees, and the City of Cayce, SC Planning Commission.
In 2003, Kenny was named “National Legislator of the Year” by the National Republican Legislators Association. The South Carolina Chamber of Commerce recognized him in 2010, 2013, and 2014 with their “Business Advocate Award” and in 2011 the Chamber selected him as its statewide “Public Servant of the Year.”
Kenny is a licensed professional engineer and co-owner of American Engineering Consultants, Inc., which is based in his hometown of Cayce, SC. He has also worked as the executive vice president of Hercules Contractors and Engineers Inc. for over twenty years. Throughout his professional career, Kenny has worked with numerous public and private entities in both the development and implementation of various types of emergency response plans.
