Guy Harris has over 25 years experience developing and delivering operational improvement plans and business unit strategies. He is Principal-Cities, leading Veolia North America’s Peer Performance Solutions Municipal business unit. Prior to joining Veolia North America, he was with Alinda Capital Partners, an infrastructure-focused private equity firm. As a leader in their Portfolio Management group, he led the delivery of operations/process improvements and developing/deploying effective revenue generation and cost reduction strategies for portfolio companies in North America and Europe.
Prior to this he was with DTE Energy where he led efforts to develop an integrated strategy for the Fossil Generation business, led the team that delivered over $500 million of business operations and cost structure improvements across all of DTE, and developed the first strategic plan for the Gas Operations business. Prior to DTE, he was a consultant with McKinsey, helping clients with both operations improvement efforts and strategic plan development. He started his professional career as an officer in the United States Army Corps of Engineers, serving in a variety of leadership roles in both Europe and the United States.
He has experience leading Lean and Six Sigma process and operational improvement efforts and is a Registered Professional Engineer. He has an MS in Civil Engineering and MS in Mechanical Engineering from Stanford University and a BS in Engineering from the United States Military Academy at West Point.
Guy lives in Wilton, CT with his wife, Thuy and two children, Christian and Alexandra (both 15). In his free time he likes to travel and go where his family tells him to go.
