Abdirahim Salah Gure is a dynamic humanitarian and development practitioner with nearly 12 years’ experience in participatory assessments, quantitative surveys, programme development, programme management and implementation, coordination with humanitarian and development actors, and collaboration and liaison with government institutions and departments. He has extensive experience in a wide range of sectors (food security and livelihoods, natural resource management, livestock value chains, disaster risk reduction, resilience, water and sanitation, protection, education, capacity development, human rights and governance) and cross-cutting themes (gender mainstreaming, conflict analysis and conflict sensitive programming, and rights-based programming).
Abdirahim holds MA degree in Development Studies from the University of South Africa.

Abdirahim currently heads CARE’s three years resilience program named ‘Somalia Towards Reaching Resilience’ which is funded by United States Agency for International Development (USAID). He is the Chief of Party for the project and is based in Somalia.
