Despite progress in identifying the conceptual foundations of and creating a working definition for resilience building, it remains difficult to synthesize the wealth of information from the current body of literature on advancements and activities and place it within context in a way that will inform policy and planning at the local, state and federal levels. From innovations in the study of resilience to how emergency responders convey information from the front lines post-disaster, this panel will examine how we know and make sense of the wealth of information available in order to know what works.
