Display your research at the RES/CON (Resiliency Conference) 2016 Student Research Expo, co-hosted by the University of North Alabama – Security and Emergency Management program. The SRE proposal selection process is very competitive. We want to help you to be successful in submitting your proposal, so please follow the guidelines below closely. Consideration is only given to proposals that follow all the guidelines listed.
The SRE is available to both undergraduate and graduate students who are currently conducting research in fields related to disaster/emergency management, resiliency management and/or crisis response. This is an informal opportunity for networking and exchanging ideas. Presenters will have an opportunity to share research studies, practical problem-solving efforts, or an innovative idea with fellow RES/CON participants. SRE presentations also provide other conference participants with an opportunity to become acquainted with your topic quickly and easily, and an effective SRE presentation highlights the main points or components of your topic succinctly.
Entrants are REQUIRED to submit their proposal electronically via the submission form along with a one page abstract. To be fair, everyone must submit a proposal via this process. Submissions are ONLY accepted by emailing your completed proposal submission form and the one page abstract as an attachment to firstname.lastname@example.org.
The submission deadline of JANUARY 15, 2016 is firm. Due to the quick turnaround time for the review process, late submissions will not be accepted.
SRE presenters will receive one complimentary Full-Conference registration to RES/CON 2016. Any student coming from a university that is outside of the New Orleans area or any student who is not a local resident will receive one complimentary room night for Tuesday, March 1, 2016 at a RES/CON host hotel (one complimentary registration and hotel night per poster session).
