We’re excited to gather in person to share information and best practices and make connections that benefit all of our communities. Yet due to the demanding schedules and travel variability within the resilience community, the National Governors Association and ResCon have decided to move the event to September 15-17. The core of ResCon 2021 is interactivity and inclusivity and therefore vital that everyone be able to participate.

Louisiana Governor John Bel Edwards encourages the date change, saying “ResCon has taken an important step to ensure that as many resilience experts as possible are able to attend, as well as Governors from every state and their teams. Hearing the critical lessons learned is especially important given the unprecedented challenges we continue to face since last year. This postponement will allow more attendees to be fully vaccinated before travelling to New Orleans, providing a safer environment for all who attend. It is encouraging to see that more people who are on the front lines of disaster relief and restoration will be able to share best practices, discuss the future, make connections and plan for ways that all of our communities can be more resilient in the future, and in the safest manner possible.”

Please mark your calendars for September 15-17, 2021. We will share a new lodging package and registration materials shortly. We look forward to welcoming you to New Orleans in September. In the meantime, please let us know if you have suggestions or concerns.
