The resilience of local economies is integral to every aspect of disaster recovery. However, even in the absence of a disaster preparing for economic resilience can generate near-term sustainability. This workshop builds capacity in economic resilience for emergency managers, economic developers, and other stakeholders who are responsible for the protection and growth of local economies. It provides tools and methods for increasing economic resilience, and case studies of successful implementations in both North America and internationally.
