Join us to kick off ResCon 2021 with a look back at COVID pandemic lessons learned and how local and international leadership fared in the public eye. Learn findings gathered over the course of the pandemic from The University of Manchester and Pew Research, along with an introduction of a proposed international framework for resilience, recovery, and renewal post pandemic. Designed with buy-in from on the ground resilience and risk management professionals, this framework details how to assess the impacts of COVID-19 on communities, and address these by planning transactional recovery activities and transformational renewal initiatives. This timely and insightful discussion will be followed by a Q & A with opportunities for audience participation and digging into findings, analysis and the resilience framework.

CRO’s, Climate Change, and Collaboration

One of the main tools available for states to remain resilient with ever-growing threats of climate change is using their state Resilience office effectively. The first part of this session will lay out a governance roadmap with recommendations for governors and legislators who are interested in adding a CRO position. The second half will allow attendees to explore how to avail themselves of CROs and how collaboration can be a key tool in achieving resilience.
